If you saw me on the home page, hello again! Phew, now that the professional stuff is out of the way, let me actually introduce myself to you - friend to friend.

I was born and raised in Florida, with video games, cartoons, old feel-good movies, church, and intentional devices as the foundation of my childhood, which all still play a role in my present life and disdain for most modernity.

As someone who was once grossly obsessed with social media at my peak rebellious teen years, I wasted so much time consuming content on platforms such as Snapchat and Instagram - but grasping for that lost time eventually taught me a lesson. One day I stumbled upon a video talking about the very new, very cool, and very modern dumb Light Phone. After venturing down the rabbit hole of flip phone comparisons and "my life with a dumb phone" vlogs, I replaced my iPhone with a flip phone for about a month.

I could go more in depth about my flip phone experience, but long story short, that was the beginning of my quest for digital minimalism. I found myself farther away from distractions, attention, anxiety, other people's opinions, and closer to my true authentic self.

Since I live at home with my parents while going to school part time, I have enough time on my hands to still enjoy life, socialize a bit, and also take time to myself and explore various interests.

Some things I do in the mean time are:

• listen to indie music

• jewelry making

• eat Italian cookies
